Wills India Fashion Week 2012 | Day 2

Day 2 at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2012 was lovely and rather impressive. We loved Kavita Bhartia’s collection and Nachiket Barve’s resort wear. Rohit Bal kept it simple and his collection showcased a range of all white dresses while Gaurav Jai Gupta’s collection was kind of remarkable.

Kavita Bhartia

Kavita Bhartia’s collection was lovely and very wearable with a range of resort and evening wear. The colour palette was subtle and muted with earthy shades like teal blues and earthy browns blended with hints of olive greens. She used the damask print on some of her creations. We simply loved the flowing jackets…they were a hit!

Gaurav Jai Gupta

Gaurav Jai Gupta presented his Akaaro collection on day 2 of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2012. His collection had mostly structured and fitted dresses along with a few bandage dresses paired with short jackets. His outfits were embellished with metallic studs and rivets and the colour palette was very neutral with mainly greys and blacks with a hint of metallic colors.

Nachiket Barve

Nachiket’s collection was cheerful and lively with vibrant hues of fabrics dyed using the ancient craft of tie and dye. His colour palette was bright with a range of reds, orange, green and turquoise. The collection was perfect for resort wear and looked really gorgeous. Brides- to-be, check this one out for sure!
