Grace Kelly’s gorgeous wedding gown was designed by Helen Rose who had dressed her in a couple of films. It took weeks to make along with the help of dozens of seamstresses. The fitted bodice with the long sleeves and high collar and the full skirt showcased her slim figure perfectly. The lace used was over a hundred years old and was embellished with seed pearls. Truly a dress fit for a princess! In fact many wedding watchers believe that Kate Middleton’s wedding gown was reminiscent of Grace Kelly’s enchanting gown, which is now considered a true classic.
Grace also wore a Juliet cap with orange blossoms on her head and carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley. Her bridal party also surprisingly all wore white. The Prince cut an elegant figure himself in his military uniform which he reportedly designed for the special day.
