Quick stop in Delhi | Bridal Asia 2011

It was great to go back to Bridal Asia and catch up with a whole lot of people there! As usual, the designerwear was the biggest attraction with the most packed booths. We loved the clothes at Ekru by Ekta and Ruchira – classic designs and understated elegance.

Also fabulous was Jaya Rathore – for her exquisite hand embroideries, attention to detail and fabric development, which are based on Indian artistry. But what really stood out was Saffron by Nidhi Tholia who is famous for her gota patti (we have had a few brides pick up her creations!).

Nikasha Tawadey’s collection was fresh and feminine perfect for a barefoot wedding on the beach!

Also on display were our other favourites – Tarun Tahiliani, Falguni & Shane Peacock (did you know, Paris Hilton just wore one of their creations!), Gaurav Gupta, Malaga, Pallavi Jaikishan, Raghavendra Rathore and of course, Sabyasachi.

And there was stunning jewellery on display – GRT Jewellers, Zoya by Tanishq, Umrao Jewels and a whole lot more. Apart from this, we thought the made to order trunks by A & A Trunks would be perfect for trousseau packaging and gifting! And in midst of all this, there were also live makeovers on models dressed as the bride for the day!
