{Wedding News} Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey –The Wedding Battle!!

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, the couple who stole all our hearts on the MTV reality show Newlyweds have parted ways and are now getting married to their respective sweethearts.

Though they are both happy for each other, the exes are competing amongst themselves to outdo the other in having a more lavish celebration and making their respective wedding the biggest Hollywood wedding of the year!!

They are leaving no stone unturned and competing head on. Jessica is drawing inspiration from the recent, much talked about Royal Wedding of Kate and William for her wedding to Eric Johnson.

She wants it to be bigger and grander than the Royal Wedding. Eleven being their lucky number, the wedding date is set for the 11^th of November 2011, making her wedding date 11/11/11. Even the time for the ceremony has been set for 11.11am. The wedding will take place on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. More than 50 family members are going to be flown down to join the couple in their celebration.

Nick on the other hand, is also all set for his wedding to former MTV host Vanessa Minnillo which will take place in a few weeks from now.

Nick has reconsidered increasing his wedding budget after learning about the extravagant budget his ex-wife has planned for her wedding! Nick and Vanessa had their wedding shower on Sunday night at the London Hotel in West Hollywood.

They rented a private roof top garden surrounded by tall hedges. The décor recreated the ambience of a lounge with white sofas, chairs and ottomans that were set up on the lawn with lounge music being played by the DJ. Apparently Nick gave Vanessa a four-carat engagement ring, which cost half the amount of the five-carat ring he had given Jessica. On learning that, Vanessa was not too happy with her four-carat ring. Nick then got her an equally expensive ring to bring a smile on her face. Whew!
