So, we started off doing only weddings and wedding related events. But since then we have had requests to do the occasional corporate event, birthday party and most often, baby showers. And we did! Planning any of these events is fun for us, as it gets us thinking about events other than weddings (for a change!) and is also so much simpler! Weddings are THE most complicated events to plan!!
We have especially enjoyed planning the baby showers. Of course, most mommies to be will have the puja ceremony or Godh Barai (Indian baby shower, sometimes called by other names). But now, we have seen the western baby showers gaining popularity. And why not? Another reason to celebrate and have a party!
Baby showers usually have a whole lot of décor, games, food, drinks and giveaways – all baby related of course! We love the baby hangings or buntings! These are super cute and of course can be themed if you know the sex of your baby or neutral otherwise.
The most popular baby shower theme lately had been High Tea. And we love it, especially with our love for tea! You could also include a tea tasting session at the shower or your giveaways could be little cups with a custom blend of tea!
The games at baby showers are the cutest. Guess the measurement of mommy’s belly – this one always gets the most laughs! Another cute game is guess the baby item. Here mommy to be is blindfolded and has to pick out baby items from a bag and guess what they are. Lets see how good her baby knowledge is! We also organized a game with little baby bottles filled with coconut water instead of milk. Here whoever drinks the water the fastest would be the winner.
We simply love baby shower and are looking forward to lots more!
