Adarsh Gill’s sparkling and gorgeous line of Indian bridal ensembles featured an interesting color palette with reds, purples, peach, pinks interspersed with black, brown, navy blue and maroon with lots of shimmer and bling. The collection portrayed the designer’s interpretations of innocence combined with sensuality, which brings out the diva in every woman. The collection featured outfits for every occasion from gowns and dresses to beautiful sarees and chudidars.
The show opened with a range of western outfits in solid colors embellished with beads, tassels and shimmer, the look very reminiscent of the 1920’s fashion. This was followed by a range of cocktail outfits in different styles and patterns like the sheath dresses, crystal bodices, sequined cigarette pants teamed with a satin blouse and even a Spanish inspired red gown. Also, part of this range were stunning full length shimmering gowns clinched at the waist with chiffon sashes or one shoulder sexy gowns with flouncy hemlines. Maybe a good choice for your cocktail or reception?
The ethnic section featured gorgeous saris with shimmer and embroidered blouses and halter cholis, beautiful encrusted shararas and magnificently detailed lehengas teamed with brocade jackets. The detailing and colors of each outfit was complemented by ornaments from Diamantina and dainty handbags and clutches. The contrasting jeweled shades looked very royal and splendid against the rich tones of luxurious taffeta, lace and chiffon with brocades in bright and pale hues. Even more mesmerizing were the classic yet traditional red bridal ensembles, which presented a dream like vision for any bride.
The showstoppers for Adarsh Gill’s collection were the stunning Dia Mirza & Zayed Khan. Dia looked gorgeous in a flared pink lehenga and crystal-encrusted corset accompanied by Zayed who wore a white brocade sherwani.
