India Bridal Week | Day Three | Pallavi Jaikishan

Dipti Gujral in Pallavi Jaikishan

This is one show we were really looking forward to at India bridal week – and it didn’t disappoint! Pallavi Jaikishan is one of the pioneers of bridal fashion in India and is extremely popular with our brides to be. The show was divided into different looks, which catered to different wedding related events. What we loved was the almost vintage kitsch floral designs on the heavy embroidered saris and lehengas.

The Gossamer range was all about delicate lace, which glittered with French tape, shaded ribbons and sequin. La Russe had inspirations of Russian prints and lush velvets in rich tones, which were turned into kurtas, jackets, saris, blouses and gilets. Royal Splendour was one of our favourites – the most exquisite saris in tulle and geogette in pastels and vibrant tones, matched with seductive cholis. And finally, adornment was a collection for the wedding day, multi coloured lehengas in tulle, lace, duchess silk and dupion embellished with resham, French tape and sequins.

The show stopper was in a very regal embroidered paneled lehenga with a gold choli and net dupatta. Divine!
