Bollywood reel weddings are not only bigger and grander than real weddings but they also inspire real couples to get married the Bollywood way! When it comes to bling, fashion, extravagant sets, you just can’t beat Bollywood…so lets look at some of the Bollywood brides who stole the show and are an inspiration for every Indian bride!

Topping the list is Aishwariya Rai in Jodha Akbar. There is no one close to her…she looked simply quintessential and the most stunning Indian bride in the history of Bollywood! Her costumes, her jewellery and moreover the poise and grace with which she carried it all was totally awesome! After the release of the movie, every bride in the making just knows she wants the look Aishwariya had in the movie for her wedding day; and we can see why! Neeta Lulla the designer and creative mind who crafted Aishwariyas’ gorgeous outfits in the movie has also designed outfits for many other Bollywood films.  If you want to look like an Indian princess on your wedding day, you know where to look for inspiration!

Rani’s look in Paheli was so pretty! Rani looked stunning as a Rajasthani bride in the red saree with the smoky eyes. Against the sandy backdrop of the desert, Rani proved to be the perfectly pretty summer bride. Shalini Sarna the designer earned many allocades for her costumes in the movie and also got nominated for the Oscars.

Aishwariya made a wonderful bride Bengali bride yet another time in Chokher Bali. Clad in a lovely red Banarasi silk saree, with a puffed sleeve blouse, Aishwariya looked very pretty. The traditional look was plain yet beautifully created by Susanta Paul – the designer and makes is to the most stunning reel bride list!

Manish Malhotra, the veteran Bollywood designer created some lovely costumes for the movie, ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehena’. Rani wore a mesmerizing lehenga with intricate detailing. She looked like a very traditional north Indian bride in the heavy red lehenga.
