Traditionally Indian grooms arrive at weddings in a procession known as Baraat. The most common way for a groom to arrive is on a horse back or in a car.

The wedding horse is white in colour and is dressed with an embroidered mask on his face and a heavily embellished red blanket is laid on its back. The horse has an attendee and is usually accompanied by another person who carries a grand umbrella alongside the horse. If the groom is in a car, the car is decorated with flowers and the procession is ahead of the car.
Then there can be more creative and fun ways to arrive at the wedding. It would mainly depend on where the wedding is and on the groom’s style. Indian grooms are moving away from the traditional horse and car entry and are opting for grander entries like the traditional elephant back or on a Harley Davidson or even better – in a chopper!

If the wedding is on an island the groom can even arrive in a speed boat or in a Gondola if the wedding venue is by a lake. More fun ways to enter which some grooms choose are on a bicycle or an auto rickshaw or even a tractor (yes!!!).
