This blog has been pending for a while. In fact it\u2019s been over a month since we returned from Thailand and we have been up to our necks in work! But I assure you, its well worth the wait, read on\u2026..
\nSo, as you know, we spent a whole ten days in Thailand on a whole lot of stuff – work and some fun too! A large part of our trip was spent at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok. This iconic hotel truly lives up to its reputation \u2013 in fact, I cannot think of staying elsewhere in Bangkok ever again. Here is what we loved!<\/p>\n

The rooms were gorgeous! We loved the traditional silk upholstery used in the furnishings and all the Thai d\u00e9cor details. With floor to ceiling windows, the view of the Chao Phraya River was fabulous.<\/p>\n

But the most outstanding thing about this hotel and the reason the Mandarin Oriental properties are well known world over \u2013 their impeccable service. The private butler service was definitely the best we have experienced. Our butler went out of her way to make every request possible. The hotel staff right from the lobby to the elevator all knew us by name and did everything they could, and further, to help and make us feel welcome.<\/p>\n

We were in awe of the spectacular floral displays all over the hotel especially the lobby. So you can imagine our excitement when we had a session with the florist himself. Yes, we spent an afternoon with him \u2013 chatting about flowers, weddings and more and even put together an interesting arrangement with him.<\/p>\n

Not only that, but the hotel went one step further by sending a gorgeous floral arrangement to our room \u2013 they really understood our love for flowers and all things pretty!<\/p>\n

The Oriental Spa, world famous and voted \u2018Best in the World\u2019 by Travel and Leisure magazine, truly lived up to its reputation. The interiors itself were gorgeous \u2013 the antique Thai d\u00e9cor, the serene surroundings \u2013 perfect after our hectic time in the city! We enjoyed the 90-minute Oriental Signature Spa Treatment which combines Thai and European massage techniques. The massage ended with a shoulder and spinal herbal compress, which literally put us off to sleep.<\/p>\n

Now coming to our favorite bit \u2013 a wedding at the Mandarin Oriental. For a venue that\u2019s traditional, luxurious and a true icon in the city of Bangkok \u2013 the Mandarin Oriental is your best bet. The ballroom is stunning with most of the city\u2019s famous weddings taking place here. The Authors Lounge is another venue that\u2019s extremely popular for an intimate celebration and we hear it\u2019s most popular for pre wedding photography too!<\/p>\n
