Margherita Missoni, the heiress\u00a0of Italian fashion house Missoni, got married to her car racing driver beau, Eugenio Amos in a romantic private ceremony at the Santa Maria Annunciata Church in Brunello, Italy earlier this week. The entire wedding atmosphere was very casual with a Bohemian, almost gypsy-like feel.<\/p>\n

For the nuptials, Margherita was seen wearing an elegant white gypsy-inspired creation, made from flower-embellished Missoni silk with voluminous organza sleeves, perfectly complimenting the laid back feel of the day. Amos looked very dapper himself in plaid pants, a waistcoat, and coattails. The fairy tale like dress for the bride is apparently inspired by a magazine clipping which the bride had come across 15 years ago and had preserved it for this day! The dress is said to be put together by the bride herself with some assistance from her mother Angela and renowned Italian designer Giambattista Valli. Her hair was worn braided and piled high on her head with a tiara to keep the veil in place, while flat silver gladiator sandals made for footwear that looked as cool as she was comfortable.<\/p>\n

The three bridesmaids wore pink-hued, floor-length dresses in bold prints and daisy chain hair wreaths while the groomsmen wore simple suits. Missoni later changed into a blush pink version of her wedding gown for the reception, replacing her tiara with a daisy-chain headpiece.<\/p>\n

In accordance with the whole Bohemian feel, the seating for the party consisted of colorful oriental mats and Missoni cushions laid out on the grass around Moroccan-style low round and square tables. The tables were covered with bold colored Missoni prints and bore food and drinks served in mismatched china, bold colored glassware and plates decorated with hearts and daisies. Illuminated hay bales and Romany-painted caravans were brought in to exude a rustic feel to the festivities.<\/p>\n

Instead of the\u00a0traditional tiered wedding cake, the couple sliced two, large heart-shaped cakes topped with berries. Smaller versions of the pastries were also on hand for guests to enjoy.<\/p>\n

Along with the wedding party, the guests also were dressed in hippy-chic Bohemian inspired outfits. The guestlist included a ton of prominent celebrities like photographer Mario Testino, music producer Marc Ronson, stylist Carine Roitfeld, and\u00a0Vogue Italia\u00a0editor Franca Sozzani. \u00a0A gypsy band, travelling acrobats and a fortune-teller were arranged to entertain the guests as they enjoyed a casual bohemian breakfast.<\/p>\n

We absolutely love the use of the colorful oriental mats and the bold colored prints in table linen and cushions. Although the bride looked very chic and perfectly bohemian, we do think her look was a bit over the top. We would love to know what you think of Margherita Missoni\u2019s wedding outfit.<\/p>\n
