The Cannes Film Festival 2012 is underway and the world is busy watching their favorite celebrities walking down the red carpet in bold and beautiful outfits. Plunging necklines, dramatic gowns, minimum accessories and nude makeup seemed to be the trend at Cannes this year. Here is our take on the looks that deserve to win a round of applause.<\/p>\n

\\\"Eva<\/a><\/p>\n

Our favorite pick of all the outfits donned at the opening of Cannes 2012, is undoubtedly, Eva Longoria\u2019s fabulous pale pink mermaid style Marchesa gown. The stunning gown bore intricate embroidery details and a beautifully soft, feathery tulle train, which the actress carried off with great style and panache. The dress was equally complimented with a sleek updo, shimmering nude lip color and a Marchesa bejeweled clutch with a quartz clasp.<\/p>\n

\\\"Eva<\/a><\/p>\n

Eva again stole the show on the second day in a delicate, plunging white Emilio Pucci gown with barely-there straps and sheer geometrical inserts. The look was more streamlined and feminine unlike her previous dramatic, flowy trail outfit. Veronica Lake waves and Damiani Belle Epoque Collection earrings completed her subtle glamorous look.<\/p>\n

\\\"Freida<\/a><\/p>\n

Freida Pinto made quite a mark in a stunning Michael Angel gown with a strapless beaded bodice, a pale pink satin skirt with a peplum effect. The thigh high, Angelina Jolie inspired slit added that extra edge to her outfit, which sent shutterbugs clicking away in frenzy.<\/p>\n

\\\"Diane<\/a><\/p>\n

German Actress and juror at the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival, Diane Kruger\u2019s Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown at the opening night was simply breath taking. She looked every bit a diva in a diaphanous aqua silk gown, with layers if silk draped stylishly across one shoulder and flowing behind her in an elegant cloud. She completed the subtly glamorous diva look with a simple updo, diamond cluster earrings and pale platform heels.<\/p>\n

\\\"Marion<\/a><\/p>\n

The Parisian-born beauty, Marion Cotillard looked incredible in a stunning floor length, Christian Dior Couture ball gown. The gown comprised of a black bodice with a simple strapless sweetheart neckline and a navy tulle skirt, belted at the waist. Simple chopard accessories like a white gold necklace in her voluminous bun and a white gold diamond watch completed her simple and sophisticated look.<\/p>\n
