When it comes to hosting a royal wedding in India, the most popular destination is Rajasthan. Though we personally love Rajasthan, here is a city that is unexplored and has a rich heritage with one of the most stunning palaces in the world. Yes, we are talking about Taj Falaknuma Palace \u2013 Hyderabad.<\/p>\n

\u00a0We recently returned from our trip to this royal city of Nizams. We are planning a grand wedding in the city later this year and are super excited about it! Based on our wedding planning experience, Hyderabad is not a very popular location for destination weddings, but you will be amazed to know that the city has a lot to offer.<\/p>\n

\\\"Charminar<\/a><\/p>\n

The city was once home to the Nizams of Indian and hence, even today you can see the Mughal influence in many areas such as the architecture and the food. The old city has architecture marvels such as the Chowmahalla Palace and Charminar and the food is very rich. Hyderabad is known for its mouthwatering biryanis and delectable desserts.<\/p>\n

\\\"Chowmahalla<\/a><\/p>\n

You might have probably only heard of kings and their lavish lifestyles and grand palaces in fairy tales, but we were lucky enough to experience it! Among many palaces that dot India, Falaknuma is one of the grandest palaces we have ever seen. There is something truly charming about this magical property. \u00a0More than a hundred years old, each area of the palace was planned ahead of its time and very well executed. The palace has lots of hidden treasures and every little element has a story to tell.<\/p>\n

\\\"Taj<\/a><\/p>\n

The palace has several venues to offer with a combination of indoor and outdoor options for hosting a wedding. You will be taken aback by the Neo-Classical style entrance the Clock Gate which is just a prelude to the actual palace. Guests are received with honour and are transferred to the palace in a royal horse drawn carriage. The driveway to the palace is long and is sided by lawns and well landscaped spaces. \u2018Falaknuma\u2019 the term means, \u2018Mirror of the sky\u2019 and hence you will see a lot of celestial elements in the design and architecture. . We were very amazed to see influences from various parts of the world amalgamated with great ease in the design.<\/p>\n

\\\"Durbar<\/a><\/p>\n

The exchange of vows is perfect the Ballroom known as the Durbar Hall. The hall has painted wooden ceiling with ornate glass chandeliers and rich linen. The room is very opulent and just perfect for a royal wedding.\u00a0 The royal dinner at the well renowned banquet hall with the longest dining table in the world is something to look forward to! Guests would be treated to a sit down dinner here will be served noble delicacies. We loved the fine cutlery and crockery especially the Versace show plates and the original palace show plates with the palace logo inscribed on it.<\/p>\n

High tea at Falaknuma palace is very popular. The palace even has an exquisite range of floral inspired tea sets, which we feel in love with.<\/p>\n

The one thing we totally loved apart from the splendid architecture and rich history of the palace was the qawali evening at Gol Bungalow. It was just the perfect way to unwind\u2026just like the Nizams did!<\/p>\n
