The ABIL Pune Fashion Week Season 3 that took place last week has taken the fashion industry a score higher in terms of creativity and high end fashion. The fashion extravaganza saw 15 designers and 45 models participating.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Kick starting day one was Swapnil Shinde with his collection inspired by two contrasting ideas, sci-fi movies and Madonna in the 80\u2019s. The collection showcased warrior like glamour with black, nude, and ivory leather.<\/p>\n

Swapnil used fabrics like satin, cotton and crepe. Pants, skirts and shorts teamed with metallic armour jackets looked robotic. The garments were accessorized with strong neckpieces and stunning LED shoes.<\/p>\n

Samant Chauhan presented \u201cRajputana\u201d, a collection lightly displaying the Victorian influence on the Royal Rajasthani gharanas during the British rule. His collection aims to a very contemporary Indian market that desires a change from the usual brighter tones. A very classy red and white collection, it portrayed the elegance of the bridal Rajputana angarakhas, sherwanis, gowns and lehengas with intricately hand-woven golden zari on silk.<\/p>\n

\\\"Samant<\/a><\/p>\n

The ethic and Indian feel was carried forward by Joy Mitra\u2019s collection \u201cThe Nomad Princess\u201d, inspired by a free-spirited strong woman. The collection included chic colours like whites, deep reds, blacks with a hint of gold.<\/p>\n

\\\"Joy<\/a><\/p>\n

Showcasing a line of innovative and edgy garments was Raakesh Agarvwal\u2019s collection which was the grand finale of Day 1. He explored an entirely new expression, offering an array that centers around delicate textures more than embellishments. Inspired by the intricate carvings and fragile latticework of the Taj Mahal he created textures out of lacework. He also launched his specially designed lace-like line of rich tan leather accessories. The colour palette moved from ivory to nude, champagne tones and progresses into topaz yellows, absorbing in orange and concluding in electric blue.<\/p>\n

\\\"Rakesh<\/a><\/p>\n

The Day 2 of the ABIL Pune Fashion Week was even more plush and glamorous than the opening day as Bollywood illustrated its presence with the striking Karisma Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, Vidya Malvade and Anjana Sukhani in attendance.<\/p>\n

\\\"Randeep<\/a><\/p>\n

The second day began with Malini Agarwalla who showcased a collection named \u201cKawzulu\u201d, greatly inspired by African tribal culture. Colourful handbags, clutches and neck pieces with rich embellishments were the highlights of her colourful, geometric collection which also included some animal print designs. Bollywood actress Vidya Malvade looked fabulous as she walked the ramp as the showstopper.<\/p>\n

\\\"Malini<\/a><\/p>\n

Payal Singhal\u2019s resort collection termed \u201cA Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream\u201d inspired by Shakespeare, combined magic and glamour, which is perfect for the summer bride and designed for destination weddings. The collection included gowns, lehngas, sarees and salwar kurtas in shades of mint, blue, champagne, indigo, emerald and purple fabricated with georgettes, soft net, silks, banarsis, brocades and embellished with glittering crystals and stonework, apt for outdoor weddings.<\/p>\n

\\\"Payal<\/a><\/p>\n

In Surily Goel\u2019s show, models walked down the ramp in loose graceful dresses in chiffon with gorgeous embroideries and minimum shimmer. The collection showcased a variety of colours with a very girly feel to it.<\/p>\n

\\\"Surily<\/a><\/p>\n

Sanjay Hingu primarily into men\u2019s clothing, his collection revolved around the men\u2019s world of fashion. It came as a breath of fresh air from the usual feminine collections. His designs were mainly funky motifs on suits and trousers. He used a lot of grey on his trousers contrasting with bright coloured shirts.<\/p>\n

\\\"sanjay<\/a><\/p>\n

The finale for the 2nd<\/sup> day was star studded \u00a0as three Bollywood stars walked the ramp for the much awaited Nivedita Saboo collection. She showcased her collection \u201cMajestic Realms\u201d with flamboyance. Actress Sanjana Sukhani began the show in a beautiful pastel coloured gown. The collection was surge of colours symbolizing power, perfectly combined with magnificent designs. The dream like show ended with grandeur as actor Randeep Hooda and the dazzling Karisma Kapoor gracefully walked the ramp as the showstoppers, which set the crowd in a cheering frenzy.<\/p>\n

The last and the final day of the fashion week begun with Nitya Bajaj\u2019s bold and simple collection which represented timeless, luxurious designs in flowy white hues. Gauhar Khan walked the ramp for Nitya Bajaj in an elegant flowy white gown with a hint of green embroidery on the bodice.<\/p>\n

The awesome twosome Shraddha & Mayank Known for a unique and relaxed sense of style showed their light collection \u201cWhim\u201d. The outfits in this collection were fun,flirty and chic. The fabrics used were 100% natural with effects created by various handcrafted dyeing techniques.<\/p>\n

\u201cStyle Diaries of a Diva\u201d was a Summer resort collection showcased by Ritika Bharwani. The collection begins with a soft colour palette of sand beige, white gold and light yellow, which merges into vibrant orange and silver metal embellishments combined with georgette to create dresses that radiate elegance in a playful way. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari looked charming in an orange number.<\/p>\n

\\\"Ritika<\/a><\/p>\n

Babita Malkani\u2019s collection\u00a0 \u201cBeach Bonita\u201d gives you a flashback of the fun times on the beach with an interesting range of drape dresses, kaftans, tops and tunics in dynamic hues of blue. Her collection gives you the feel of dancing waves, sun & sand.<\/p>\n

\\\"Babita<\/a><\/p>\n

The grand designer couple Angalee & Arjun Kapoor showcased their Victorian and Renaissance inspired collection which included beautiful bridal wear from gowns, lehengas to cocktail dresses.<\/p>\n

\\\"Anjalee<\/a><\/p>\n

Adam Saaks, known as the scissor man converted a casual tee worn by model Sarah Jane Dias into a wonderful piece of art in just few minutes.<\/p>\n

\\\"Sarah<\/a><\/p>\n

The most awaited show, the grand finale of the 3rd<\/sup> season of PFW showcased Vikram Phadnis\u2019s grand collection of sarees and anarkali suits in chiffon, velvet, net with gold zari work heavy fabrics. The men\u2019s collection was rich with a striking set of designs.<\/p>\n
