We just spent almost two weeks in Goa. Yes, two whole weeks! We spent time planning weddings in Goa, doing venue recces, food tastings, discussing d\u00e9cor and a whole lot more. But we also managed to squeeze in some fun time! \u00a0We put together our top five things to do for your guests attending your wedding in Goa.<\/p>\n

A Fishing Trip<\/strong> – So when in Goa, enjoy the seafood! And even better, when you head out on the river or even out to sea to do a bit of fishing. You can book a trip for your guests \u2013 send them out on a boat to spend the afternoon with some bait and of course some beer!\u00a0This is definitely recommended! A total thumbs up from us! There is nothing more relaxing than a lazy afternoon on the river. And it\u2019s even better when you can head back to shore and enjoy your catch, all cooked in yummy Goan style.\u00a0\\\"fishing<\/a>
\nFlea Markets & Shopping<\/strong> \u2013 This is a MUST DO in Goa. There is the Wednesday market in Anjuna, which has a whole lot of interesting buys for tourists. But we highly recommend the Saturday night market. Head here for some fun entertainment, great food (food stalls are set up by locals from all over the world \u2013 so you can be guaranteed the authentic food!) and some really fun shopping. Browse through for Indian handicrafts from all over India as well as quirky handmade products from tourists who have now made Goa their home! Apart from the flea markets, there are some really cool stores worth checking out \u2013 Artjuna (for some fun buys from interesting designers, all handpicked by the owner), Malini Ramani (for some uber chic beach wear) and Jade Jagger\u2019s store (for some fabulous jewellery!)<\/p>\n

\\\"Saturday<\/a><\/p>\n

Goan Cooking Class<\/strong> \u2013 If you enjoy the local Goan food, then a cooking class is a must. Most hotels and even some local Goan homes offer cooking classes, which can be fun for your guests. Classes generally offer you a welcome drink, all recipes and ingredients and a meal to enjoy at the end of the session. Your guests will head back home after learning to whip up some traditional Goan fare!<\/p>\n

\\\"Goan<\/a><\/p>\n

Relax<\/strong> \u2013 Goa is known for its beaches. While there are some that are busy and crowded like Baga and Calungute, there are others that are extremely beautiful and untouched almost. If this is what you are looking for, then head to Morjim \u2013 undoubtedly one of the nicest, cleanest beaches in Goa today! Apart from this, ensure your guests enjoy some spa time when in Goa. Most hotels have fully equipped spas, some of the smaller hotels even have Ayurvedic spas which are a good idea for guests from out of India to try. Our favourite in Goa is Snip Salon & Spa \u2013 they have the best massages around!<\/p>\n

Enjoy Goa the local way<\/strong> \u2013 So, yes, there is a whole lot to see in Goa \u2013 the beautiful Churches, the beaches, the fort, Old Goa, the plantations, the elephant farm, the waterfalls, dolphin watching and so much more! And the nightlife \u2013 there are a whole lot of bars and clubs for you to choose from! Our picks \u2013 Cape Town Caf\u00e9 (for its fun music & vibe), Club Cubana (an outdoor club on multiple levels!) and of course, Casino Royale (Goa\u2019s largest casino on a ship).<\/p>\n

While you may book your guests on a day tour on their free day, a fun way to enjoy and really explore Goa is on a bike. So if you are comfortable with zipping around on a little bike, then go ahead! It\u2019s not very expensive to rent one of these, just be safe! And of course, don\u2019t drink and drive!! Hire a car and driver instead!<\/p>\n
