Payal presented a line of bridal wear for the \u2018Summer Bride\u2019 inspired by Shakespeare\u2019s- A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream, at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Summer \/Resort 2012. The collection included a stunning line of dresses, gowns, lehengas, sarees and salwar kurtas.<\/p>\n

The collection captured the essence of Indian summer and the colour palette had tones of blush, mint, indigo, purple, sand, emerald and turmeric. The floral jasmine strands paired with nose rings, added the element of freshness to the look!<\/p>\n

The detailing comprised of pita kora work along with filigree and gota work on taffeta and tulle which were paired with the rich Banaras brocades and sensuous georgette and velvet fabrics. The crystal encrusted yokes, bodices, shoulders, sleeves and necklines shimmered on the ramp. The kalidaar lehenga saree with resham and rhinestone buttis was amazing. The lovely jumpsuit with crystal embroidered cape was a good addition to the range of Indian wear. We think this collection is perfect the upcoming summer weddings and we especially loved the colors on the ramp with the gold and silver embroidery!<\/p>\n

Bollywood actress Tanisha Mukherjee was the show stopper. She wore a black tulle lehenga embroidered with lush gold work, teamed with a long sleeve choli and a striking dupatta. Payal\u2019s signature glittering embroidery was seen on most outfits and was simply stunning!
