This is a tad bit late but we really did have some fabulous Indian weddings last year! Here are the top three Indian weddings of 2011.<\/p>\n

Mallika Reddy and Siddharth Indukuri Wedding<\/h2>\n

Mallika Reddy, daughter of Pinky and Sanjay Reddy tied the knot to Siddharth Indukuri, son of the owner of Indu group in Hyderabad last year. Five thousand wedding invites were sent out, each of which cost Rs 5,000. The total cost of just the invites came up to 2.5 crore. That was not all\u2026there was more to it\u2026.the invites were accompanied by super expensive gifts such as solitaires, Sabyasachi \u00a0and Satya Paul sarees along with carved idols of Lord Venkateshwara and sweets off course.<\/p>\n

\\\"Mallika-Reddy-Wedding\\\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Special chartered flights had been arranged to fly guests from Mumbai and Delhi for the big day. Apart from these a few air taxis had been arranged exclusively for the Bacchans and Khans and arrangements had been made for them to take off with an hour\u2019s notice.<\/p>\n


\nThe guest list comprised of business tycoons and a host of superstars from Bollywood. The Shamshabad Airport Arena, Taj Krishna, Novotel and Hyderabad International Convention Centre were booked to accommodate guests, while some high-profile guests were put up at the Taj Falaknuma Palace where the cost of renting out the presidential suite is Rs 5 lakh per day.<\/p>\n

\\\"Mallika-Reddy-Wedding-Reception<\/a><\/p>\n

Bollywood stars not only attended the wedding but also entertained the guests. Hema Malini performed at the sangeet while the King Khan \u2013 Shah Rukh performed and was reportedly paid Rs 2 crore for his performance.\u00a0 Priyanka Chopra and Mallika Sherawat danced while Vivek Oberoi compered the whole show!<\/p>\n

\\\"GVK-Reddy-wedding-Hyderabad\\\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The d\u00e9cor was regal in hues of gold and red with magnificent floral arrangements and exquisite settings. The seating arrangement looked nothing short of a halveli. The couple\u2019s attire was designed by a host of designers for different functions, namely Abu- Sandeep, Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahilliani and Shantanu and Nikhil.<\/p>\n

This was the biggest wedding Hyderabad had ever hosted. We wish this lovely couple a happy married life!!<\/p>\n

Vineeta Agarwal and Muqit Teja Wedding<\/h2>\n

Vinita Agarwal, daughter of London based billionaire Pramod Agarwal, married Muqit Teja on the island of San Clemente in Venice last year amidst the most magical setting. The wedding was tagged as, \\”The Wedding of the Century.\\”<\/p>\n

Everything about the wedding was so grand\u2026.the walkway from the boat dock to the garden was whimsical with golden elephants, peacocks, lions, flaming torches which lined the pathway along with orchids and roses tumbling everywhere.\u00a0The food well planned with a range of exotic wines. Munna Maharaj \u2013 the well renowned Indian chef had been flow down from India to pan out the food. For those who preferred Italian food, the renowned Paduan restaurant Le Calandre, winner of three Michelin stars, had their own\u00a0luscious\u00a0spread.<\/p>\n

\\\"Vineeta<\/a><\/p>\n

An enormous chandelier of cascading yellow orchids adorned the centre of the mandap. Pillows, candles and fabrics had been specially created for the wedding. The cake was a replica of the Rialto Bridge. The unending sequel of fireworks was truly a visual treat for guests.<\/p>\n

Shakira\u2019s performance was sensational and made this one of the grandest destination weddings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kajal Fabiani and Gaurav Assomull Wedding<\/h2>\n

Two thousand and eleven saw yet another destination wedding, and this time it was Monte Carlo. Kajal Fabiani and Gaurav Assomull tied the knot last year at this wonderful location. The guests list comprised of 600 guests from Indian and all over the world.<\/p>\n

The festivities were lavish with elements and artists being specially flown down from India for the wedding. All of the guests stayed at the prestigious Hotel de Paris and the Hotel Hermitage, both of which are known for the architecture and world-class service.<\/p>\n

\\\"Gaurav<\/a><\/p>\n

The place was just perfect for such a grand occasion, and the red and gold decorations married perfectly with the ornate setting. A jhoola had been specially flown down for the mehendi ceremony<\/a> and was the focal point of the d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n
