So, last weekend we took a trip to Kanatal in the Himalayas. Yes, that\u2019s right \u2013 the Himalayas! I know what you are thinking \u2013 cold weather, trekking and all that comes with it. Well, The Terraces, Kanatal is a boutique spa resort. So we were looking forward to a whole lot of relaxing and pampering. And we definitely got that and much more!<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Terraces is a gorgeous property with a total of 20 rooms and 1 suite. Each room has different interiors \u2013 modern, rustic, antique, fresh and all rooms on the property have a view of the peaks, which is an amazing sight to wake up to! The property is ideal as a honeymoon destination in India<\/a> for a couple that\\’s looking for \u00a0adventure, culture &\u00a0of course\u00a0relaxation.<\/p>\n

The property also has a restaurant and bar with lovely outdoor seating areas too. There is also a quaint little shop which has an interesting selection of knick knacks from around the country and some great art too.<\/p>\n

Our favorite areas on the property were the spa and yoga room. The spa was very well set up with a whole selection of massages, wraps and body treatments. The massage beds had a fabulous view of the mountains, and of course the yoga room too was equipped with this view. You just can\u2019t beat that!<\/p>\n

But what stood out the most \u2013 was the service! The staff at the property were genuinely friendly and attentive to every need. It happened on more that one occasion that we mentioned that we liked something in particular, and that night, it was on the menu for dinner. We are even still enjoying the walnuts that Madhu (from the store) got us from her village nearby! And of course the freshly baked cookies that we loved, and Sid was kind enough to pack us four whole boxes of them! The outstanding service and attention to detail is due to the hard work and dedication of the owner himself, Ravi Malhotra, who is deeply involved in the hotel \u2013 from designing the interiors himself to spending ample time with his staff to even setting up local projects with nearby schools and villages for the betterment of the living conditions of the locals. Truly a place with a heart!<\/p>\n
