The wedding trousseau line by Rocky S had an assortment of hand crafted dresses, gorgeous lehengas, elegant kurtas and churidars for the bride, while for the groom, the designer created some sharply cut Indo-west garments. The collection used an assortment of soft gold lame, sheer net, georgette silk, satin and lush brocade. The color palette moved from black to charcoal grey and then onto a more delicate ivory and pearl. He also added drama by using deep old rose, royal blue, poison green and burnt orange.<\/p>\n

The show was opened by the models all in white, and then moved onto empire line kurtas, saris with tonal embroidery, men\u2019s sherwanis with silver work and sheer net churidars teamed with pleated bodices for kurtas with attached dupattas.<\/p>\n

The show then moved to blacks \u2013 with the men in tuxedos while the women were in net saris and flesh colored minis with black scalloped embellishments which could even double up as dresses! We liked the interesting accessories like the ornate sari belts. \u00a0The showstopper for Rocky S was Ameesha Patel in a jade green georgette lehenga with a broad gold border and matching choli teamed with a red dupatta.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Vikram Phadnis presented a stunning collection, which was a blend of heritage touches and urban influences. The designer used artistic traditional motifs and added luxury! \u00a0An interesting collection, tradition and contemporary styling blended seamlessly for your wedding! We loved the color palette that started with a fiery bright red and then moved to orange, mustard and then large doses of pink, green and royal blue with sprinklings of silver and gold embroidery.<\/p>\n

Tunics with lehengas, floor lengths kurtas (we loved!), black velvet lehengas with gold paisleys and wide borders, chutney green with blue velvet border lehengas and cholis and much more. Neil Nitin Mukesh, showstopper for the evening wore a brown and black brocade sherwani. But what we loved the most was the hair styles on the models, a classic Indian bridal look with mogras!
