MarryMe at the Marwar Mega Show

Posted on August 5, 2010 by Marry MeLeave a comment

Marry Me- The Wedding Planners had a wonderful time at the Marwar Mega Wedding Show. Incidentally, it was the 10th Anniversary celebrations of this yearly event, and keeping with the celebratory mood, all of the exhibitors went all out to put up their finest displays.

We at MarryMe had a splendid time setting up the décor for our concept design-style stall. Birdcages, beautiful flower arrangements in blush, white and pink tones, candles and drapes blended in seamlessly with the décor. And how can we ever forget to mention that we had our favorite cupcakes on display (they turned out to be a hit with the exhibition’s visitors once again!).

Shades of pink took centre stage at our stall and the lighting was just perfect too! Simply put, it was very pleasing to the eye. Nothing pleases us more than seeing the metamorphosis of an empty stall into a beautiful space that exudes warmth.

We met a lot of interesting people who wanted to learn more about MarryMe- The Wedding Planners’ services, as well as a number of vendors. We met old friends and made a few new ones. All in all, the exhibition turned out to be quite a hit for just about everyone- for brides and grooms-to-be and their families, as well as the exhibitors themselves.

We were glad to be a part of yet another mega wedding show. After all, we simply love conceptualizing weddings and related parties!

Stay tuned for 2 more posts on the Marwar Mega Wedding Show from your favorite wedding planner in India. More about some interesting gift stores and jewelry brands at the Marwar Mega Wedding Show coming up soon!

10th Anniversary of The Marwar Mega Wedding Show

Posted on July 21, 2010 by Marry MeLeave a comment

The 10th Anniversary of The  Marwar Mega Wedding Show scheduled at Mumbai’s World Trade Centre from July 23 to 25 is set to revolutionize the Indian wedding exhibition scene. With a decade of showcasing top couture and jewellery from across the nation, the Marwar Mega Wedding Show is back again, but in a brand new funkier and chic avatar.

Conceived as a community initiative, a logical extension of the magazine by the same name Marwar www.marwar.com, the exhibition is organized by the magazine’s publisher Spenta Multimedia www.spentamultimedia.com. The single-minded focus on quality has probably led the exhibition to become the most visited wedding show in Mumbai. A regular exhibitor at the exhibition says, “What’s most attractive about the event is that nearly 15,000 people over three days visit us and our business for the year is secured with just one event”.

On offer is an extravaganza of delightfully rich and sophisticated fashion wear from the best in the industry. Find here handcrafted and exclusive couture from the by-lanes of Kolkata to the gallis of Delhi and Lucknow. Check out the fabulous designs offered in gold and silver studded with precious stones at the jewellery designer’s posts that hail from Jaipur. Find a panorama of designer, handmade products, shop for your dream wedding trousseau and get the best bargains in Indian wedding jewellery.

The 10th Edition of The Marwar Mega Wedding Show is proud to showcase brands that include Gitanjali Group, Rosenthal, Orra – The Diamond Destination, Lladro, Amway, Kashvi, Lucera, Diya, Nyassa, Varuna D Jani, Stefan Hafner, Nakshatra, D’damas, Calgaro, Sangini, Rivaaz, Desire, Ezee Diamonds, Gili, Asmi, Maya, Rosato, Morelatto, Philip, Sector, Just Cavalli, Marvin, Everlast, Umbro, Iris, Pirelli, Nina Ricci, Miss Sixty, Reberto Cavalli, Greggio, Jusra International, Grape to Glass, Divyavastra by UCJ, Shaina NC, Savio John Pereira and others. We at Marry Me are glad to be a part of the show for the first time this year!

The Marwar Mega Wedding Show is on at the World Trade Centre, Cuffe Parade in Mumbai on July 23, 24 & 25, from 11am to 7pm. It is also scheduled at Hyderabad and Bangalore. For enquiries call 022 24811010. Stay tuned for more on Indian weddings and The Marwar Mega Wedding Show in future posts!

Wine tasting by All Things Nice

Posted on February 16, 2010 by Marry Me1 Comment

This post comes a little bit late, but nevertheless, I absolutely had to blog about the wonderful evening we had at Bonobo a couple of weeks ago.

The event was organised by Nikhil (All Things Nice) and has to be one of the nicest wine tastings I have experienced. Nikhil is extremely enthusiatic about wine and food and made sure we all left feeling the same way. He led the tasting and made sure it was informative but yet very fun and casual. My favorite was the Chateau de Fontenille Bordeaux. I will be definitely stocking up on that one!

All things nice at Bonobo

It was a great evening with excellent food by Bonobo and lots of good wine and conversation. Stay tuned for more events by All Things Nice!

Marry Me at Amara!

Posted on October 28, 2009 by Marry Me5 Comments

Earlier this week, Marry Me was invited to be part of a wedding related event at Amara. For those of you who are unaware, Amara is a great store at Kemps Corner, Mumbai that has a range of designer wear, jewellery and accessories.

The event showcased Archana Kocchars stunning cocktail line in gowns and sarees, Meera Mahadevia bags, footwear by Kan, trousseau packing by Sura, hair & makeup by Vipul and of course Marry Me The Wedding Consultants for complete wedding planning. We had a good time checking out all the wares on display, I especially liked the footwear by Kan fun colours with raw silk, diamantes and kundan, and super comfy too Indian weddings are a grand affair. And with that comes a lot of planning and coordination. The show at Amara had a great selection of wedding vendors under one roof, which made it a tad bit easier for every bride-to-be and their families.

Check out the Marry Me corner!

Our decor reflected a combination of traditional Indian elements with a modern, elegant touch. The focus was on understated elegance.

We centered our decor on a white and gold theme with hints of pink. The bottle of Rose Moet and Chandon surrounded by tall pillar candles was divine. Quite a few visitors actually wanted to buy bits and pieces from our decor ( sorry guys).

We had a great time! Good food & amp; drinks, great people! Thanks to all you guys that came by to say hello! I even got myself a quick makeover by Vipul!
