What\’s an Indian wedding without flowers?

\"flowers

Flowers are the best part of wedding décor and we love them! There is so much you can do with flowers…play around with colours, texture, creating interesting floral arrangements interspersing them with fabric or motifs, the options are endless…

Flowers form an integral part of your wedding décor and can add a mystical charm to any wedding venue. The décor at most Indian weddings is bright and colourful and when it comes to Indian flowers you cannot miss the marigold. It is the most common yet the most beautiful flower you will see at Indian weddings. The flower is so cheerful in itself that it can glam up even the simplest venue. It’s one of our favourite’s too!

Perfect for a mehendi function, Marigold is easily available in shades of vibrant orange and a bright yellow.  Apart from Marigold, another lovely flower which you can consider using at Indian weddings is the Lotus.

If you have an outdoor wedding venue with a water body nearby, you must consider using Lotus as a part of your wedding décor. Lotuses are easily available in hues of pink ranging from a deep pink to a very subtle light shade of almost a baby pink.  They are also available in violet and look very beautiful.

If you don’t like too much colour and want to keep your wedding décor simple and elegant, you can go with Lilies. They are very dainty and look really pretty too!

\"flowers

Instead of the usual strands of flowers which you see at most Indian weddings, you can use these flowers interestingly like creating a floral chandelier or a mandap with a floral dome. You can even mix flowers with elements like crystals or pearls as the combination looks absolutely stunning – a perfect blend of beauty and bling!

Floral curtains are also quite a hit. Other ways to include flowers would be by having floral rangolis or urlis with floating flowers and candles.

You can actually even consider having your wedding theme around a flower by drawing inspiration from your favourite Indian flower for your wedding décor colour palette and include motifs of the flowers in your wedding invite and stationery like thank you cards etc.
